The UIDAI has issued Blue coloured Baal Aadhaar Card as the UIDAI doesn't take biometric details of a child below 5 years of age. Once the child becomes above five years of age, then biometric authentication needs to be done and get the Aadhaar Card updated. So, for a child below 5 years of age, Blue Aadhaar Card will be issued and once the child becomes 5 years old and does the biometric authentication, his or her general Aadhaar Card will be issued.
