Wow! This Indian Railways train will have Metro like coaches soon

Indian Railways efforts to provide world class service to its passengers is continuing apace so as to come out of the past tag of mammoth burden on the government exchequer. The national transporter through its many initiatives has not only provided new facilities to travellers but also added several premium trains on many routes. One such new chapter will soon be witnessed on the track of Delhi-Bhopal route. 
 
According to reports, the Bhopal Shatabdi Express coaches will soon get the look of Metro trains, and travel on this route is all set to be a wonderful experience indeed! Indian Railway’s Train 18 will reportedly be the first engineless train for inter-city travel to come with features like Metro coaches. The ride will be smooth and effortless.
 
This new train would sport technological interface and enhanced hospitality as it would boast a separate pantry for each and every coach. An NBT report said that Chennai-based Rail coach factory--Integral Coach Factory (ICF)--has prepared such a train with 16 coaches with a budget of Rs 100 crore. Further, the report said that after successful trial it would be introduced by December this year or January next year.
 
The Indian Railways is reportedly toying with the idea to have new rail routes on the patterns of Metro Rail lines. The Chhattisgarh government is stated to have formed the first company on this model and it first project has already been accepted, the report added.
 
Notably, the railway wishes to replace age-old Shatabdi Express trains with the new Train 18  in the long run.
 
Key features of Train 18
1. The Train 18 will reportedly be a self-propelled engine-less chair car. 
2. The train will operate on Delhi-Bhopal route on 160kmph.
3. It will be 'Made in India train' manufactured at half the cost over imported ones
4. AC train will comprise non-executive and executive coaches
5. Similar to Metro coaches, it will have automatic doors
