TANGEDCO Gangman Recruitment: Apply online for 5000 vacancies; Rs16,400–51,500 Level 1 pay offered

TANGEDCO Gangman Recruitment: Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (TANGEDCO) has invited applications for Direct Recruitment to the post of Gangman (Trainee). There are 5000 vacancies and the consolidated pay for the first two years will be Rs 15,000 per month. The online application has started on April and the last date for submission of applications and for uploading the documents is May 30. The last date for payment of fee through Canara Bank/ Indian Bank/ Indian Overseas Bank is June 1. "The candidate on their selection should be prepared to serve anywhere in TamilNadu. The candidates on their selection in respect of Gangman (Trainee), would be placed under two year training period with consolidated pay of 15,000/-pm and after successful completion of the training period they will be placed at level -1 in the pay matrix (i.e.,Rs.16,400–51,500)," said the department in a notification.

Educational Qualification: Studied up to the fifth standard

Selection Procedure:

(i) All eligible candidates including the candidates sponsored by the Employment Exchange and open market are eligible to apply through ONLINE to appear in the Physical Test.
(ii) The candidate must qualify the Physical test (like pole climbing, fixing of Cross Arm, etc.,). 
(iii) After physical test, the candidates who passed the Physical test alone will be permitted to appear in the Competitive Written Examination and the candidates who do not pass the Physical test will not be permitted to appear in the Competitive  Written Examination and further selection process.  The competitive written examination shall be of objective type questions.

The Question paper will have two parts. The competitive written examination shall be of objective type questions.

The examination fee is Rs 1000 for OC, BCO, BCM, MBC/DC candidates and Rs 500 for all other candidates.
