Now, your purchase for cooking gas has now become expensive, as the oil companies have hiked subsidised LPG cylinder price by Rs 2.89 per cylinder in Delhi starting today for this month. Now any Delhi citizen will pay up to Rs 502.40 in October month, compared to previous Rs 499.51 in September month. This price hike is available for domestic customers only.
Shockingly, the non-subsidised LPG cylinder saw massive hike by Rs 59 per cylinder in October month.
Indian Oil in a statement revealed that, the non-subsidised LPG cylinder hike was mainly due to change in international price and foreign exchange fluctuations, while the actual impact on subsidised domestic LPG customers is only Rs.2.89 per cylinder, which is mainly due to GST on the above.
The subsidy transfer in customers’ bank account has been increased to Rs 376.60 per cylinder in October 2018 as against Rs 320.49 per cylinder in September 2018.
As per IOCL, thus the domestic subsidised LPG customer is protected against the increase in prices of LPG
