Stock Markets Today: Indian markets closed on Friday on account of Christmas; trading to resume on Monday
Stock Markets Today: India's currency, debt and equity markets are closed on Friday on the occasion of Christmas. The markets will resume trading on Monday, 28 December.
The top gainers on Nifty 50 on the Nifty 50 index were Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Reliance Industries and IOC. Meanwhile, the top losers were Infosys, Wipro, Nestle India, HCL Technologies and UPL. Most major indices ended the week on a high. In the 50-stock index, 32 ended in green while the remaining 18 closed in the red.

Among major indices, Nifty Bank, Nifty Auto, and Nifty Pharma ended the day up by over 1.7 per cent, 0.5 per cent and 1.2 per cent. Nifty IT ended down by 0.7 per cent.
The top gainers on Sensex were Axis Bank Sun Pharma, ONGC, Reliance Industries and HDFC while the top losers were Infosys, Nestle India, Indusind Bank Dr Reddy’s and HCL Technologies. Out of the 30 stocks on the BSE Sensex, 20 ended in green on Thursday while 10 in the red.
The 10-year benchmark bond yield ended at 5.971 per cent, while the rupee settled at 73.5425 to the dollar.
The NSE Nifty 50 index ended 1.09 per cent higher at 13,749.25 on Thursday, while the S&P BSE Sensex climbed 1.14 per cent to 46,973.54.
