'Baba ka Dhaba' couple's life has been transformed by the social media storm around them after their video went viral. They have been continuously getting support from every corner as everyone wanted to do their bit and help the octogenarian couple.
Now, a Delhi doctor has come forward to help the couple, who owns an eatery in Malviya Nagar area of south Delhi.
Delhi-based doctor, Samir Sud's noble deed is that he is providing free cataract treatment to Kanta Prasad and his wife Badami Devi.
A Twitter user, Vasundhara Tankha Sharma, mentioned that after the video was initially shared, her friend’s father, who is an ophthalmologist, noticed that the elderly couple have cataract.
She said that the doctor gave Kanta and Badami “the gift of clear sight” at his clinic in Delhi. “My friend’s father, who is a doctor, saw #BabaKaDhaba viral video and realised both Kanta Prasad and Badami Devi have cataract. He gave them both the gift of clear eyesight today. Thank you so much, sir!!! Touching to see the continued act of kindness,” she tweeted.

The couple’s shot to fame when the heartbreaking video of them complaining about lack of customers due to lockdown went viral on social media. They have been receiving outpouring of love and support from citizens since then. The publicity had built up to a frenzy at one point with crowds collecting just to take a selfie with Baba.
