An actor in the popular Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah TV serial, Samay Shah, best known for his role as 'Gogi', was on Tuesday, October 27, mugged by an unknown man who also threatened him. The said incident which took place outside his Borivali residence isn't the first time that the Samay Shah has had a really horrific experience like this.
In an exclusive telephonic interaction with DNA, the Television actor, while revealing that the same man had earlier visited his apartment twice, opened up about the incident.
Samay revealed how the events unfolded on October 27, when an unknown man, accompanied by a few others, visited his Borivali residence and who kept on constantly kept abusing him and even threatening to kill him.
What is even more upsetting is that this was not the first time it happened. Samay Shah told DNA, "This is the third time such an incident has taken place. The guy, I don't know who he is and I have no clue what was the reason behind this, visited my apartment complex looking for me. He asked my watchman about my whereabouts. Meanwhile, I happened to return from one of my shoots. He saw me and started abusing me. He said 'kaat dalunga tujhe, dekh lena kya karega (I will cut you into pieces). I was completely taken aback with what transpired because I have no personal issues with anyone. I am completely blank and clueless right now."
Samay added, "I am giving this information to all those who love me, my fans because I think it would be better for me and my family if, God forbid, something happens."
Samay Shah also mentioned that besides the above-stated reason, his intention behind putting this information in public domain was to make sure that these men don't try to put out an alternate version stating that he was misbehaving with his fans. Samay added, "I treat my fans very kindly and I know how to respect them. Therefore, I wanted to make sure that the truth is out."
On being asked if he has filed a police complaint, the actor replied in the affirmative. "I have filed a police complaint," Samay confirmed.
