State-run Steel Authority of India Limited has declared results of examination it took to fill the posts of Junior Manager (Safety), Fire Operator (Trainee) and Fireman cum fire engine driver (Trainee). The candidates can look on the SAIL website to find if they have qualified for the post of Jr. Manager Fire Operator and Fireman-cum-fire engine driver against Advt. No. 03/2019.

Two candidates have been selected for the post of Jr. Manager, one for fire operator and 17 for Fireman-cum-fire engine driver.
The Offer of Appointment shall be sent to the above-selected candidates by post.
The written examination for said positions was conducted on 5 January 2020. The advertisement for recruitment in the three categories was issued in December 2019. The examination was conducted to fill 205 posts in all three categories.

Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP), was the first integrated steel plant in the public sector in India, set up with German collaboration with an installed capacity of 1 million tonnes. Subsequently, its capacity was enhanced to 2 million tonnes of hot metal, 1.9 million tonnes of crude steel and 1.67 million tonnes of saleable steel. After implementing a massive modernisation and expansion, Rourkela Steel Plant has enhanced its capacity to 4.5 million tonnes of Hot Metal and 4.2 Million Tonnes of Crude Steel.
