“The services on Line-2 (HUDA City Centre – Samaypur Badli) of the Delhi Metro will be partially regulated on Wednesday, the 26th of January, 2022 (Republic Day). This is being done as part of the security arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations as per the instructions of Delhi Police," Delhi Metro Railway Corporation (DMRC) said in a statement.
The guidelines issued are as follows:
1) The Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations on the Yellow Line will remain closed for both entry and exit services till 12 noon.
2) The Central Secretariat Metro station can be used for interchange by passengers on Line 2 and Line 6 (Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh Marg).
3) Both entry and exit services at Patel Chowk and Lok Kalyan Marg will remain closed from 08:45 AM to 12:00 PM.
4) In view of the security arrangements, all the Delhi Metro station parking lots will remain closed from 6 AM on January 25 to 2 PM on January 26.
Apart from this, the Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations will remain closed from 2 PM to 6.30 PM in view of the Beating Retreat ceremony on January 29. But the interchange services on Line 2 and Line 6 will be available at the Central Secretariat Metro Station. Normal services will be restored at these stations at 6.30 PM.
