Railway recruitment 2018: 89,604 Vacancies for RRB Group D and ALP; check indianrailways.gov.in

Railway recruitment 2018: Railway Recruitment Board is conducting the recruitment drive for hiring 89,604 people in RRB Group D and ALP. Application for recruitment of these vacancies opened on March 6, 2018.However, candidates who have submitted their application before 8 pm on February 28, 2018, can modify their application details, like PWD Disability details (if applicable), Post preference, Bank details & Exam language, as per corrigendum.

At present, people are being recruited for 3 posts and they are RRB Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician- (CEN01/2018), Railway Group D Level 1 Posts and (CEN02/2018) and Trade Apprenticeship for Rail Coach Factory (RCF) Kapurthala.

Details of Vacancies

Application Fee
For Assistant Loco Pilot and Railway Group D - Rs 500  as Application Fee(UR & OBC) out of which Rs 400 is refundable for Railway Recruitment 2018 (ALP and Group-D). The Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWD/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward class are required to pay Rs. 250/- as Application fee.

Official notification released by the Railway Ministry said that RRB will be refunding Rs 400 to candidates who will appear for the examination. To enable refund of this amount, candidates will be required to submit details of their bank accounts online. These fees will ensure only serious candidates appear.

Exempted categories like SC/ST/Divyang/Ex-servicemen/Women/Minorities/Economically Backward Classes will be charged Rs 250. The whole amount being charged to these categories will be refunded to those candidates who will appear in the exam.

Recruitments will be based on Zone
All vacancies are divided on the basis of the zone. In case of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Vacancies, maximum recruitment will be made in Allahabad Zone (4694), Secundrabad Zone(3262), Ranchi Zone (2043), Kolkata Zone (1824), Bhopal Zone (1679)  and Gorakhpur Zone (1588) among others.

In case of Group D Vacancies, maximum recruitment will be made in Chandigarh Zone (7832), Secunderabad Zone (6523), Ahmedabad Zone (6087), Patna Zone (5981), Allahabad Zone (4762), Ajmer Zone (4755) and Mumbai Zone (4625) among others.

Posts in which recruitment will be made in case of Trade Apprenticeship Posts for RCF Kapurthala Fitter (55), Welder (G&E) (50), Electrician (28), Machinist (17), Carpenter (16), AC & Ref. Mechanic (10), Painter (G)  (9), Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) (6) and Electronic Mechanic (4).
