Raazi box office collection: Big success for Alia Bhatt, film enters Rs 100 crore club

Raazi  box office collection has surpassed the Rs 100 crore mark in just 17 days.The Meghna Gulzar directed Raazi film, in which Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal are in lead roles, has earned Rs 102. 50 crore so far since its release on May 11.  The espionage flick earned Rs 4.42 crore on Sunday. With this movie Alia Bhat has proved her mettle yet again. After 2 States and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, this is yet another film that has entered the 100 crore club. On the opening day, Raazi had earned Rs 7.53 crore. In the first week, the movie had earned  Rs 56.59 crore, second week Rs 35.04 crore and on the third weekend 10.87 crore, making Rs 102.50 crore in total. 

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh  shared the film’s weekly break-up on his Twitter account. “It’s 102 crore and counting… #Raazi continues to be a STRONG FORCE at the BO… #IPL finals did affect the biz, but the weekend total is HEALTHY… Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 4.20 cr, Sun 4.42 cr. Total: ₹ 102.50 cr. India biz,” Adarsh tweeted.

Raazi is based on Harinder Sikka’s book 'Calling Sehmat. This is a story of a young Kashmiri girl Sehmat.  Sehmat marries off to a Pakistani Army officer to get information in the times of war. Other actors in the spy thriller are Rajit Kapoor, Shishir Sharma, Soni Razdan, Jaideep Ahlawat and Amruta Khanvilkar.

The flick is produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apoorva Mehta and co-produced by Priti Shahani.
