PM Narendra Modi to speak on Motion of Thanks in Lok Sabha today
The ongoing Budget session is the last session of Parliament before the country goes into Lok Sabha polls due in April-May this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to speak in the Lok Sabha on Monday evening. In an address scheduled around 5 pm, the Prime Minister will speak in response to a discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address on January 31, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) posted on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter).
On the first day of the Budget session, which commenced on January 31, President Droupadi Murmu had addressed a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha, the lower and upper houses of Parliament respectively.
At around 5 PM this evening, PM @narendramodi will speak in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address.

The ongoing Budget session of Parliament, learned to be spread over eight sittings over 10 days, is set to conclude on February 9.

This is the last session of Parliament before India goes into Lok Sabha polls due in April-May this year.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to present a statement of estimated receipts and expenditure of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2024-25 on Monday.
