PM Modi to interact with beneficiaries of various schemes of Digital India SHORTLY, address doctors on National Doctors Day at 3 pm

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with beneficiaries of various schemes of Digital India on Thursday (July 1) at 11 am via video conferencing. He will also be addressing doctors on the eve of National Doctors Day at 3 pm.

Digital India, a flagship initiative was launched with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The initiative is completing its 6 years of journey on July 1, 2021. It was launched on July 1, 2015, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As Digital India completes six years, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India will mark the day with a special occasion in the presence of PM Modi.

The program will start at 11:00 am with the opening remarks of Minister of Electronics and IT, Law & Justice and Communications, Ravi Shankar Prasad.

The program will then see a presentation of a video on key achievements of the Digital India which will lead to an interactive session of Prime Minister with the beneficiaries of various schemes of Digital India, moderated by Ajay Sawhney, Secretary, MeitY.

The interactive session will be followed by the much-awaited address by PM Modi wherein he will outline the various achievements of Digital India and the success story it has been over the years in connecting people. He will also give an outlook on various developments and work that lie ahead going forward for the scheme.

All the interactions and addresses will be done virtually and can be watched at https://pmindiawebcast.nic.in. The Live telecast will also be available at social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube of Digital India.

PM Modi will also address doctors on National Doctors Day at 3 pm today (July 1).
