PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: Aadhaar card not mandatory! Check pmkisan.gov.in, claim Rs 6,000 subsidy
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: Due to mismatch in name mentioned in the bank account and Aadhaar Card, the third installment of Rs 2,000 hasn't been transferred.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna: After exempting the mandatory Aadhaar Card for Indian farmers to get Rs 6,000 annual subsidy, around 3.31 crore out of 7.48 crore enrolled Indian farmers have received their third installment. This has happened even after extending the Aadhaar Card requirement from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiary farmers.
Speaking on the matter a senior Agriculture Ministry official said that Aadhaar Card mandatory requirement from the farmers has been extended to November 30. An announcement in this regard has been already done by the ministry and concerned district agriculture departments on October 9th. So, after 30th November 2019, only those farmers enrolled with PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna will be eligible for the subsidy who have linked their beneficiary bank account with their Aadhaar Card. The official said that after the announcement in regard to Aadhaar Card, the beneficiary farmers have started to receive their subsidy. But, those farmers who have a mismatch of names with their bank account and their original name mentioned as a beneficiary farmer, mismatch of names in two documents produced for various purposes etc.

The Agriculture official suggested farmers who have still not received the third installment of the subsidy to check at pmkisan.gov.in and rectify the problem online. Their third installment will be transferred into their given bank account immediately. He also said that the Agriculture Ministry and various departments handling the online PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna subsidy transfer are sending SMS to the farmers informing about the problem due to which the subsidy could not be transferred. So, farmers can rectify the problem mentioned in the SMS online by clicking at pmkisan.gov.in.
Till date, around 7.48 farmers have enrolled themselves with PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna scheme and three installments under the program have been transferred into the beneficiary farmers who have enrolled themselves with the scheme. In the first installment, 7.02 crore were give Rs 2,000 subsidy while in second installment 5.94 crore farmers were given PM Kisan subsidy and in the third installment, 3.31 crore farmers have been transferred Rs 2,000 subsidy.
Major reason for fall in a number of beneficiary farmers in the third installment is a mismatch between the name mentioned in the bank account and the Aadhaar Card. So, farmers are advised to log in at pmkisan.gov.in and rectify this mismatch immediately and get the third installment of Rs 2,000 subsidy transferred into their given bank account. The Government of India expects around 14.5 crore farmers in India who come under the purview of the statement of the beneficiary farmers mentioned in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna scheme.
