New 'landmark' in Gurugram! Over Rs 100-crore 'Vadra Land' besides Delhi-Gurgaon-Jaipur Highway

'Vadra Land' has emerged as a new landmark on the busy highway in Gurugram, on the outskirts of Delhi! Blame the controversies surrounding the land deal between Robert Vadra’s company Skylight Hospitality and Delhi Land and Finance (DLF) Limited, the 3.5-acre plot has been named by locals of three villages - Kherki Daula and Shikohpur - as 'Vadra Land', reports DNA. 

'Vadra Land' is located among three upcoming projects - Hyatt Regency, Oris Tower and Vatika City, besides the Delhi-Gurgaon-Jaipur Highway and just 200-mtr from the Dwarka Expressway. The estimated value of the plot is over Rs 100 crore. 

Once a nondescript plot, 'Vadra land' is now a prime property and villagers reveal many stories about it. 

The DNA report says that even the original owners of the plot - Jashwant Yadav, Roshan Yadav and Badluram Yadav - would have never imagined that their property would get the tag of Vadra Land. 

One Mamchand Yadav, grandson of Roshan Yadav, said that the three brothers had sold 10-acre of their ancestral land for Rs 1.5 crore per acre in 2006 to a private builder. The plot was divided into different parts and sold to different people, including Skylight Hospitality.

Right now there is no approach road to 'Vadra Land', but it is expected to come up after construction starts. “Now, it is commercial land. The builder bought it as agriculture land and in connivance with leaders and babus they changed the land use,” Prakash Yadav, a villager dealing in local property, said. He added, "No one knew that the Dwarka Expressway would come up at this location.”
