Chhindwara:NEET student suicide: Exam results can sometimes lead to big disappointments among students that may prompt them to take extreme action, even suicide. This can happen either if they are not happy with their results or fear societal pressure and often have this feeling that they have let down their parents. However, then we get to see some really shocking cases. In a horrific incident, a girl student, hailing from Madhya Pradesh, committed suicide after an apparent error in the computer or misreading of the numbers of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam results.
The victim saw six digits in front of her name in the list when she checked her NEET results. The girl was so much dejected with her exam results that she hung herself from the ceiling fan of her room. However, when her parents, who were equally shocked with her results, recalled the OMR sheets, they found that her daughter had done exceedingly well in the exam. She had clocked 590 marks in the recently held examination.
Police are investigating the matter and body of the victim had been sent for autopsy to a government hospital.
