NEET-PG Exam 2022: IMA writes to Health Minister demanding to reschedule exam date
Indian Medical Association (IMA) has requested Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to change the dates of the NEET-PG exam 2022.
NEET-PG Exam 2022: Indian Medical Association (IMA) has requested Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to change the dates of the NEET-PG exam 2022. This exam is going to be held on 21st May.
IMA, in its letter to the Health Minister, said that the NEET-PG 2021 exam was conducted on September 2, 2021, five months after its scheduled date. Similarly, the counselling of the examination was held in January 2022 instead of October 2021 because then the matter of seat reservation related to the NEET examination was going on in the Supreme Court. Due to this, there was a delay in both the examination and counselling of the last time.
IMA further said that the counselling which started in January-February 2022 is still going on and will end by the second week of May. So, it is not possible for the students to sit for the exam and prepare for it. That is why the date of this exam should be extended.
The IMA also mentioned about 10 thousand interns on duty during the Covid-19 epidemic and said that they served as corona warriors during covid-19, due to which they have not been able to prepare for the NEET PG examination.
Therefore, pointing to the date of the NEET PG exam and the Supreme Court's decisions, IMA requested the health minister to change the date of the NEET PG 2022 examinations keeping in mind the careers of lakhs of medical students.
