Mumbai building collapse in Dhongri: A 4-storey building in Mumbai's Dhongri collapsed on Tuesday. Early reports say that there are many people feared trapped under the debris of this collapsed building. Meanwhile the rescue operations are being underway and fire tenders have rushed to the spot. According to reports there are as many as 40 people feared trapped in the debris.
''The incident has led to a death of 12 people so far'', according to Minister of Housing of Maharashtra, Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil.
''The reconstruction project of this MHADA building was given to a developer'', said MHADA President Uday Samant.
Samant also said that 'there were around 15 families in this building.
BMC PRO said that it was a MHADA building and shockingly, sources have informed that the building was not in the list of dilapidated buildings issued for this Monsoon. ''We are assuming 10-12 families are trapped under the debris'', Mumbadevi MLA Amin Patel said.
The accident occurred at 11:40 am and came to light after the locals reported the same to the police. The collapsed building was located near Abdul Rehman Shah Dargah on Tandel street.

This is the second incident in just two days. As a similar incident took place at around 2 am on Monday in the in Shivaji Nagar of Mumbai, where a building collapse made five people injured.
A team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) rushed to the spot and has already started with its rescue mission.
