Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 83rd edition of the radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at 11 AM on Sunday.
Mann ki Baat is the Prime Minister's monthly radio address, and it will broadcast on the last Sunday of every month. The programme will be broadcast on the entire network of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, AIR News and mobile app.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "#MannKiBaat programme commences at 11 AM today. Do tune in.".

Today’s edition assumes significance in the backdrop of a new SARS-CoV-2 variant B.1.1.529 or Omicron. The variant was first detected in South Africa. As experts are of the view that this variant has a large number of mutations, it has led to travel restrictions on passengers from African nations.

To assess the latest situation of Covid-19 in India, the Prime Minister on Saturday chaired a meeting with officials and reviewed the public health preparedness and vaccination-related situation for Covid-19.
Prime Minister Modi also directed the top officials to increase the second dose coverage of the Covid-19 vaccine across the country.
In the previous edition of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister had emphasised on the implementation of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), and the major role played by sanitation workers during the pandemic, among others.
