Manikarnika box office collection: Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi was released just a day before 70th Republic Day, and the film is getting widely appreciated by both the audiences and the critics with special mention to Kangana Ranaut's performance. The film has earned Rs 26.85cr in the last two days. The movie collected Rs 8.75 crore on the opening day. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter handle said, “#Manikarnika sees remarkable growth on Day 2... Strong word of mouth has come into play, while #RepublicDay holiday has given the much-required boost... Day 3 will be in double digits again... Fri 8.75 cr, Sat 18.10 cr. Total: ₹ 26.85 cr. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which is co-directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut was released on 3700 screens in 50 countries worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. It is a period drama that focuses on the life and struggles of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.
Besides Kangana Ranaut, the movie also stars Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai, with Atul Kulkarni and Jisshu Sengupta in other important roles. The movie opens with the birth of Manikarnika, who was later known as Rani Lakshmibai of Janshi, on the ghats of Varanasi and takes us to Bithoor, where she was brought up.
