Live Markets: Sensex drops by 60 pts, Nifty reaches at 10,528.20; SBI soars over 5%

BSE Sensex closes at 34,950.92 down by 60.73 points or 0.17% whereas Nifty ends at 10,528.20 low by 24.80 points or 0.24%.

Gainers on BSE Sensex today were SBIN at Rs 295.30 up by 3.45%, Axis Bank at Rs 624.30 up by 2.35%, Wipro at Rs 323.95 high by 1.52%, Reliance at Rs 1088.55 up by 1.33% and Bajaj Auto ends at Rs 2680.90 up by 0.94%.

Whereas in the losers list IndusInd Bank leaded and ended at Rs 1491.70 low by 3.29%, NTPC at Rs 153.60 down by 2.72%, Power Grid at Rs 185.85 low by 2.18%, ONGC at Rs 154.85 down by 1.59% and Hero Motocorp at Rs2848 low by 1.54%.

14:15 PM:  BSE Sensex shuts at 34,950.92 down by 60.73 points or 0.17% whereas Nifty ends at 10,528.20 low by 24.80 points or 0.24%. 

S&P BSE Oil & Gas Index performed the worst ended at 13473.38 low by 194.28 points or 1.42%. Gainers were Reliance at Rs 1088.55 up by 1.33%, Castrol India at Rs 147.50 up by 0.79%, GAIL at Rs 371.30 up by 0.61% and IGL at Rs 283.60 up by 0.57% 

Top losers on Oil & Gas sector were Indian Oil Corporation at Rs 140.05 down by 5.50%, BPCL at Rs 291.95 low by 3.39%, Hind Petrochemical at Rs 233.25 low by 2.97%, Petronet at Rs 218.85 low by 2.06% and Oil at Rs 197.60 down by 1.69%. 

14:00 PM: SBI results of Q2FY19 shows the profit above the expectations of Rs 945 crore. NPA at 4.84% and NII at Rs 20905 crore.

13:30 PM: Q2FY19 result of GAIL shows result above then the expectation, with the profit of Rs 1962 crore and EBITDA at Rs 2928 crore.

12:10 PM: NTPC decline in its Q2FY19 results. Investors lose interest in the company because of its decline in the growth. Company declares the profit of Rs 2056.11 crores. whereas in Q1FY19 the profit for the company was Rs 2428.03 crore and In Q2FY18 it was of Rs 2318.19 crore.

Currently the company is trading as the worst performer on BSE Sensex trading at Rs 152.50 lower by Rs 5.40 or 3.42% at around 1203 hrs

11:50 AM: Fuel price declines today in most of the states.

Today's petrol price in Mumbai is Rs 84.06 per ltr low by 0.22 paisa as compared to previous day price and in New Delhi today's price is Rs 78.56 low by 0.22 paisa, In Lucknow todays price is Rs 76.52 low by 0.25 paisa where as in Bengalore it is at Rs 79.19 low by 0.22 paisa per ltr and in Kolkata petrol is at Rs 80.47 lower by 0.21 paisa per ltr from previous close.

Diesel price per ltr in Mumbai is Rs 76.67 per ltr low by 0.21 paisa as compared to previous day price and in New Delhi today's price is Rs 73.16 low by 0.2 paisa and previous day, In Lucknow todays price is Rs 71.21 low by 0.28 paisa and in Bengalore it is at Rs 73.55 low by 0.21 paisa and in Kolkata it is at Rs 75.13 lower by 0.09 paisa from previous close.

In losers list Fedral Bank leads and trading at Rs 81.15 lower by 1.46%, IndusInd Bank at Rs 1521.05 down by 1.39%, ICICI Bank at Rs 349.70 lower by 1.30%, Kotak Bank at Rs 1121.20 low by 1.07% and HDFC at Rs 1942.70 down by 0.22% at around 1049 hrs.
