Janmashtami in Mathura: CM Yogi Adityanath to take part in celebrations tomorrow
Janmashtami in Mathura: A procession of around 1000 artistes from different parts of the country has been planned. Famous Bhajan singer Anup Jalota will also perform at "Shri Krishnotsav" on August 25.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will participate in Janmashtami celebrations in Mathura tomorrow. BJP MP from this constituency, Hema Malini, will also take part in the celebrations, where ministers from Uttar Pradesh will also remain present along the Chief Minister. The grand celebration, "Shri Krishnotsav", is being organised on the occasion of Janmashtami from August 23 to August 25.
According to reports, a procession of around 1000 artistes from different parts of the country has been planned. Famous Bhajan singer Anup Jalota will also perform at "Shri Krishnotsav" on August 25. Notably, a `dahi handi` even will also be held, in which a team from Mumbai will perform.
Earlier on the eve of Hariyali Teej in Mathura, Hema Malini had performed at the Sri Radha Raman Temple in Vrindavan during the "Jhulan Utsav", dressed in classical Bharatanatyam attire. She also received a flute and a saree in appreciation for her performance.
The BJP MP reportedly stated that she felt honoured to receive it and would give the flute to the idol of Lord Krishna that she has in her house.
Notably, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday night reshuffled his cabinet making some big changes in council of ministers. He has downgraded some of his colleagues in the latest reshuffle, and stripped some of the ministers of their portfolios and rewarded those who performed with additional departments.

Yogi Adityanath has allocated portfolios to Ministers inducted into the expanded cabinet, while keeping 37 departments with him. The Chief Minister has kept 11 major departments, including Home, Information, Revenue and Housing.
