India vs Bangladesh 2nd T20 weather forecast: The Indian cricket ṭeam finds itself in a tricky situation after losing the 1st T20I of the three-match series against Bangladesh at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi on Sunday evening. The match was played in tough conditions as Delhi's air continued to detoriate last week. Now, men in blue face another challenge as the must-win 2nd T20I game can be affected by Cyclone Maha. The Ahmedabad centre of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the cyclone will make landfall in Gujarat between Dwarka and Diu on the night of November 6, a day before the match.

This is expected ṭo bring heavy rains to the city which could last till the next day. The Gujarat Met Centre has added that the cyclone could intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm in the next six hours. If this happens, the match could be called off without a ball being bowled. In that case, Bangladesh will take an unassailable 1-0 series lead with Rohit Sharma's side only having a chance to draw in Nagpur on November 10 by winning that match.

"Severe cyclonic storm Maha lay centered at 580 kilometres southwest of Diu and 550 kms southwest of Veraval," IMD director Jayanta Sarkar told PTI. "It is most likely to intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm and make landfall between Dwarka and Diu on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning with wind speeds of 120 kilometres per hour."

He added that the storm will cause heavy to very heavy rains in Saurashtra and south Gujarat on November 6-7.

In Delhi, Bangladesh had registered a comfortable win by chasing the target 149 runs set up by the home side. The match was played despite high levels of pollution in the national capital. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly even took to Twitter after the game to thank the players from both sides for playing the game despite the thick smog cover.
