India reports 3993 new Covid-19 cases; Daily Positivity rate at 0.46%
India has reported 3,993 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours according to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 0.46 per cent and the Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 0.68 per cent, the government release said.
India’s Active Caseload is presently at 49,948, the release said adding that the active cases constitute 0.12 per cent of the country's total Positive Cases.

Meanwhile, 8,055 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,24,06,150.
The data is provisional and was released at 7 am on Tuesday. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.68 per cent, the release said.
With the administration of more than 21.34 lakh Doses (21,34,463) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 179.13 Cr (1,79,13,41,295) as per provisional reports till 7 am today.
This has been achieved through 2,08,07,099 sessions, the release said.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded, the release claimed. The last 24 hours saw a total of 8,73,395 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 77.43 Cr (77,43,10,567) cumulative tests.
