India reports 37,379 new cases in last 24 hours; over 1 Cr vaccine doses administered
In the last 24 hours, 11,007 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 3,43,06,414. India's active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.49%.
In the last 24 hours, 11,007 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 3,43,06,414. India's active cases account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.49%. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.13%. More than 152.96 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs. India's active caseload currently stands at 1,71,830. Weekly positivity rate is presently at 2.05%, the daily positivity rate stands at 3.24 per cent. India has conducted 68.24 crore total tests so far.
The national vaccination against COVID-19 began on 16th January 2021. India opened the COVID-19 vaccination drive for people above 18 years of age on 21st June 2021. Since then more vaccines have been made available to states and UTs. Also, the vaccine supply chain has been streamlined, according to the latest press release by the Government.
The States/UTs still have access to 19.69 Cr (19,69,01,436) of balance and unutilized COVID vaccine doses.
