IMD forecast today: After Delhi dust storm, city set to be hit by rain; flight disruptions likely
Maximum temperature on Sunday stood at 40.8 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.7 degrees Celsius. Delhiites were stuck in different areas, as Metro service were also disrupted due to strong winds and rain. The dust storm with wind speed exceeding 100 kmph brought operations at the IGI airport to a halt during the evening rush hours, diverting as many as 70 flights to other places. The operations at the airport were reportedly shut down for close to two and half hours, and the air traffic operations could begin by 9 pm. A similar story may well come to pass for airlines passengers today also.
