ICICI Bank has decided to go completely digital while granting home loan to customers. The practice is in sync with the Digital India programme and would enable home loan applicants to save time and money while moving from pillar to post to get their home loan granted. The 'Instant Home Loan' offer by ICICI allows customers to get their entire process done digitally, along with getting the sanction letter approval by the bank. The ICICI Bank tweeted about the decision from its official Twitter handle on April 25.
"Now avail home loan for your dream home in a few clicks! Here’s presenting #ICICIBank ‘Instant Home Loan’ which gives you the final sanction letter digitally & instantly for loans up to Rs 1 crore. Ab paayein #ApnaGharFatafat!" the tweet read.

The decision can be a blessing in disguise for ICICI net banking customers as getting a home loan is quite hectic as it requires a good number of days to get the sanction letter. Some times, due to a lot of physical work required in the home loan file processing login of the home loan file gets delayed that leads to cancellation of the chosen unit by the home buyer as builders don't wait for long even when the token money has been paid by the home buyers. This digitisation of the home loan process would attract the eyeballs of the home buyers having their bank account in ICICI Bank.
