ICICI Bank Under GST Scrutiny: Maharashtra GST conducted operations in several branches

The Maharashtra State Goods and Services Tax (GST) authorities initiated search operations at three offices of India's second-largest bank- ICICI Bank - on December 4, 2024.

"Please note that on December 4, 2024, GST authorities initiated search at three offices of ICICI Bank. The proceedings are ongoing and the Bank is cooperating fully in providing data as per request placed," ICICI Bank said in a filing.
The GST department has made such operations under Sections 67(1) and 67(2) of the Maharashtra GST Act, 2017.
