ICAI CA exam dates postponed: The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) has postponed the Chartered Accountants (CA) examination, as the test dates clashed with the General Elections 2019 schedule. Now, the examinations will be held from May 27 to June 12, 2019. According to the earlier schedule, the examinations were to be held between May 2 and May 17, 2019. "It is hereby notified for general information that in view of Elections to the 17th Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituencies across the country, spanning April-May, 2019, the Chartered Accountants Examinations initially scheduled from May 2, 2019 to May 17, 2019 stand rescheduled. The said examinations shall now be held from May 27, 2019, to June 12, 2019," ICAI said in an official release.

CA foundation course exam under the new scheme will be conducted on June 4, 7, 9, and 11, 2019, while the intermediate (IPC) course group 1  exam under the old scheme will be held on May 28, May 30, June 1 and June 3, 2019. IPC group II exam under the old scheme will be held on June 6, June 8, and June 10, 2019, the notification stated.

While the IPC group 1 exam schedules under the new scheme are the same as the old one, group-II exams will be held on June 6, June 8, June 10 and June 12, 2019.

The Group -I final course exam under new and old schemes will be held on May 27, May 29, May 31, and  June 2, 2019. Group -II final course exam under the old and new schemes will be held on June 4, June 7, June 9 and June 11, 2019.

The Members examination will be held on June 4 and June 7, 2019.  The candidates will be able to apply for the CA exams on the official website, icaiexam.icai.org. The application process will conclude on March 16, 2019. The last date for submission of exam forms with late fee is March 23, 2019. The exams will be held across India and abroad.
