If you want to change your address in Aadhaar card, you can do it online as well. UIDAI has a self-service online mode which offers address update to the residents where the resident can directly place the update request on the portal. The Aadhaar number and registered mobile number of the resident are required to login to the portal.
A resident gets an authentication using OTP on his/her registered mobile number.
To complete the update process, resident needs to upload the supporting POA documents, which will be verified against requested data at a later stage at UIDAI’s Update back-office by a Verifier. The resident needs to have mobile number registered with Aadhaar for using this service.
However, one must note that, if you are using self service update portal, then you must have your mobile number registered. If not registered, then you can do so by visiting nearest Permanent Enrolment centre with Supporting Documents.
Also, if you do not have your new address document, you can still update your current address by requesting for Address Validation Letter with the help of an Address Verifier.

After the request is submitted successfully the resident will get the Aadhaar Validation Letter within 30 days from the date of raising request.
Hence, if you are planning to change your address, then you must take note of above mentioned points.
