Government jobs: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti released a notification of recruitment for Clerk, PGT, TGT, Staff Nurse and other posts. The number of vacancies available are 154, in different departments. The eligible candidates are supposed to apply for the position in the prescribed format. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance on the written test conducted by the selection body.

• Catering Assistant : 26 seats
• Legal Assistant : 1 seat
• Assistant Commissioner (Administration) : 5 seats

Eligibility

• Lower Division Clerk : Senior Secondary (Class XII) certificate from a recognized Board with 50% marks and possessing a minimum speed of 30 words per minutes in English typing or 25 words per minutes in Hindi typing or Passed + 2 level or Senior Secondary Certificate from CBSE/State Govt. With Secretarial Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) : Master’s Degree from a recognized University in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and B. Ed or equivalent teaching degree.
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) : Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects with Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) and B.Ed. Degree.
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers : Bachelors Degree with Music or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or Post Graduate Degree in Drawing and Painting, Fine Arts or Bachelors Degree in Library Science.
• Female Staff Nurse : Passed Sr. Secondary Examination (Class XII) or equivalent with Grade ‘A'(Three years) Diploma/ Certificate in Nursing from a recognized Institution or B.Sc (Nursing) from a recognised University/ Institution.
• Catering Assistant : Secondary School (X class pass) and Three Years Diploma in Catering or Passed Sr. Secondary (Class XII) with Hotel Management and Catering as Vocational Subject and at least one year experience in catering or Passed Sr.Secondary (Class XII) and a one-year diploma in catering with three years experience in catering.
• Legal Assistant : Degree in Law from a recognized University.
• Assistant Commissioner (Administration) : Graduate Degree from a recognized University and Holding analogous post on regular basis.

• Lower Division Clerk : Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) : Rs 47,600 to Rs 1,51,100
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) : Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers : Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400
• Female Staff Nurse : Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400
• Catering Assistant : Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100
• Legal Assistant : Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400
• Assistant Commissioner (Administration) : Rs 78,800 to Rs 2,09,200

Age Limit

• Lower Division Clerk : 18 to 27 years
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) : 40 years
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) :35 years
• Miscellaneous Category of Teachers : 35 years
• Female Staff Nurse : 35 years
• Catering Assistant : 35 years
• Legal Assistant : 18 to 32 years
• Assistant Commissioner (Administration) : 45 years

The candidates are to apply for the positions before the last date. Additionally, the candidates applying for Assistant Commissioner have to pay an application fee of Rs 1500, RS 1200 applying for PGT, TGT, Miscellaneous Teacher and Staff Nurse while Rs 1000 for Legal Assistant, Catering Assistant and Clerk positions. Meanwhile SC/ST/ ESIC Candidates/Female Candidates are exempted from the same.
