Good news for Delhi-wallahs! Safety, security to improve, 1.5 lakh more CCTV cameras to be installed

The Public Works Department (PWD) is set to procure 1.5 lakh more CCTV cameras. The CCTV cameras will be installed in residential areas across the capital city. As far as implementation is concerned, PWD will deliver a daily progress report on the ongoing installation. 

There will be nearly 300,000 CCTV cameras installed in the residential areas. The installation of the CCTV cameras began a month back. The accelerated installation capacity will ensure at least 1,000 CCTV cameras being installed on a daily basis.
