Earthquake in Maharashtra: Tremor hit this district - All details here

In a major development, an earthquake in Maharashtra was recorded today. Tremors of magnitude 3.0 shook parts of Maharashtra's Palghar district around Wednesday midnight, an official said. No casualty or damage to property was reported, Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell chief Santosh Kadam said on Thursday. The epicenter of the tremor was in Dundalwadi village, he added.
 
Palghar's Dahanu area has been experiencing such tremors since November 2018, with most of them centered around Dundalwadi village.
 
Earthquake jolts Himachal's Chamba, seventh in four days
 
Earlier, on March 30, an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude shook Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district on Monday, the meteorological department had confirmed saying that no loss of life or property was reported. The earthquake was recorded at 11.41 am, said Shimla Meteorological Centre Director Manmohan Singh. This was the seventh earthquake in four days in Chamba district. The epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 5 km northeast of Chamba, he said, adding that mild tremors were also felt in adjoining areas.
 
Prior to that on Sunday night, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook Chamba at 11.47 pm. Before that, five earthquakes of magnitude between 3 and 4.3 were felt between 5.11 pm to 8.43 pm in the district on Friday.
 
Most parts of Himachal Pradesh, including Chamba, fall in the high seismic sensitive zone.
