Earthquake in Himachal Pradesh! 4.3 magnitude quake shakes Lahaul and Spiti district; 3rd temblor in 7 days

Earthquake in Himachal Pradesh: A quake shook Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh today. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed about the earthquake through its official Twitter handle in the early morning of July 29th. The local administration has informed that there was no major damage to the public property or casualty as the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.3 at Richter scale. Notably, for public notice, in the last week, this is the third earthquake in Himachal Pradesh. Earlier, mild tremors of magnitude 4 and 3.3 shook Chamba and Kinnaur districts on July 25 and July 23 respectively.

The IMD informed through its official twitter handle that an earthquake measuring 4.3 Richter scales struck Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh in the early morning of July 29th. Its official twitter handle said, "Earthquake of Magnitude:4.3, Occurred on 29-07-2019, 09:03:53 IST, Lat:32.8N and Long: 76.4E, Depth: 20 Km, Region: Distt. Lahaul-Spiti, Himachal Pradesh. However, no causalities or damage to properties has been reported yet. Further details are awaited."
