Dussehra 2023: PM Modi to participate in Ramlila celebrations in Dwarka, Sector 10, Delhi; to burn Ravana effigy

Dussehra 2023: On Tuesday (October 24), the festival of Dussehra (Dussehra 2023) is being celebrated in India. This day is also known as Vijaya Dashami. The day of Dussehra is considered a symbol of the victory of good over evil. It was on this day that Lord Ram killed Ravana. Hence, this day is known as Dussehra. On the day of Dussehra, Ramlila is organised at many places.

There are many places in New Delhi where Ramlila is very famous and big leaders also participate in Ramlila here. For this year, PM Narendra Modi will also be a part of Ramlila. He will attend the 11th grand Ramlila of Shri Ramlila Society in Dwarka, Sector 10, New Delhi, as the chief guest. He will also perform Ravana Dahan. Modi will reach at around 5 pm to attend the Ramlila in Dwarka, Sector 10.

In 2019 also, Modi participated in Ramlila in Sector 10, Dwarka. At that time, the Prime Minister worshiped Lord Shri Ram, shot an arrow, and burnt the effigy of Ravana to symbolise the victory of good over evil.

Ramlila has a long history in Delhi. It is organised at various places in the city every year with great pomp and show. Ramlilas of some places in New Delhi, such as Ramlila Ground and the Red Fort, are quite famous across the country and people from far and wide reach the venues to see them.
