Delhi's Weather Update: Light rain may offer relief from high pollution

On Monday, the city experienced a minimum temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius, surpassing the seasonal average by three notches. The morning was characterized by brisk winds, and the weather office predicts a generally overcast sky with the possibility of light rain later in the day.

At 8:30 am, the relative humidity was recorded at 97 per cent, creating a muggy atmosphere. Monitoring agencies reported that Delhi's air quality approached the severe category on Monday morning. Calm winds and cloudy conditions were identified as contributors to trapping pollutants in the air. The prospect of light rain brings hope for temporary relief from the escalating pollution levels.
