Delhi Government directs agencies to take up repair and maintenance task of one road per zone every week
The roads should also have proper condition of footpath, green cover, street lights, street furniture, road paints, and road reflectors, the government said.
The Delhi Government on Friday ordered all the concerned organisations, including Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Public Works Department (PWD), and New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) among others to take up road repair/maintainance/improvisation activities in their jurisdiction.
These organisations have been ordered to work on repairing/maintaining/ improving at least "one road per zone... every week, preferably on Saturdays."
The order also maintains that while working on roads, other public utilities such as public toilets, water ATMs etc shall also be improved.

The letter also stated that initiatives taken by these institutions must also include cleanliness by ensuring adequate measures during the drive.

Furthermore, the Delhi Government has appealed to all the Market welfare Associations (MWA) and resident Welfare Associations (RWA) to support the cause and participate in the drive to make it - People's Drive.
Lastly, the government has also told the concerned organisations to upload the progress of the works conducted in their digital platform every week.
