Now, the most common question in the minds of the people is that will anyone get tested positive for COVID-19 even after vaccination. According to the government, people can get infected with COVID-19 even after they are vaccinated. As per an ANI report on April 21, 2021, Dr. Balram Bhargava, ICMR DG stated, "Two-four per 10,000 breakthrough infection has occurred after vaccination, which is a very small number."
On Saturday, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India took to Twitter to clarify the doubts on this issue. The PIB tweet said, "Vaccine will not allow the virus to further replicate and it will not allow the disease to become more severe." It further informed that the vaccination is crucial to prevent COVID-19. Only 0.03 per cent to 0.04 per cent of the people have contracted COVID-19 after vaccination and even they have had mild symptoms.

The vaccine will prohibit the virus from replicating further and will stop the disease from becoming severe. However, during this time, the RT-PCR test can be positive and one maybe infectious to others so it’s important to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour even after vaccination.
