Covid 19: India reports 30,615 new cases over the last 24 hours; Daily Positivity rate at 2.45%

Fresh Covid-19 cases went up marginally as India reported 30,615 new cases over the last 24 hours. The Daily Positivity rate was reported to be 2.45 per cent according to data released by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at 7 am on Wednesday.

India’s Active Caseload is presently at 3,70,240, the release said adding that the active cases constituted 0.87 per cent of the country's total Positive Cases. Weekly Positivity Rate in the country currently stands at 3.32 per cent.

According to the government data, 82,988 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now at 4,18,43,446.

With the administration of more than 41.54 lakh Doses (41,54,476) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 173.86 r (1,73,86,81,675) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 1,95,98,966 sessions.

The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 12,51, 677 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 75.42 Cr (75,42,84,979) cumulative tests.
