CGHS Mobile App: Step by step guide to update mobile number, email address on MyCGHS

The revamped website has updated features and is expected to benefit 40 lakh beneficiaries - both in-service and retired personnel - with real-time information from the convenience of their homes, as per claims made by the government.
The revamped website and MyCGHS app were launched by Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare.
“The launch of the revamped CGHS website linked with a mobile app is an important and timely step towards catering to India’s increasing digital penetration,” Mandaviya said.
The health minister added that the basket of services is enlarged with the revamped website, which also provides a feature of teleconsultation.
The new CGHS website and its extension as a Mobile Application called MyCGHS, with various beneficiary-friendly features, have been designed for ease of service delivery for the beneficiaries within the safe confines of his home, especially during the COVID pandemic, the government release said.
A step-by-step guide to update your mobile number, email address on the new CGHS mobile app:
There are 2 ways to update the mobile number of a beneficiary:
1. ByBeneficiaryLogin: When beneficiary has registered as well as new mobile number.
2. By CMO In-Charge: When beneficiary has not registered mobile number yet or does not have
registered mobile number.
Case-I: Steps to update the mobile number by Beneficiary Login:
Enter the Beneficiary Id of the main cardholder, Date of Birth and Mobile No. that exists in the CGHS
database and click on the Register button.
OTP is sent to the registered Mobile No.
Step 3: The beneficiary can then enter Beneficiary Id and Password on the screen shown in Step 1 to print
plastic cards of family members or update mobile number, email or view medicine history etc.
Click on relevant option like ‘Updation -> Update Mobile No’.
Or ‘Updation -> Update Email’
Case-II: Step to update Mobile Number if already not registered or registered mobile is not with beneficiary
In case the mobile number of a beneficiary is not available in the CGHS database or does not have an already registered mobile number, in such cases, the beneficiary has to approach the CMO In -Charge of the respective wellness centre with their mobile.
The CMO In-Charge will update the mobile against the beneficiary id.
An OTP will be received on the beneficiary’s mobile number that will be communicated to CMO In-Charge to finally update the mobile no. of the beneficiary.
