Big Jewar Airport impact: Metro to roll! DMRC submits Noida International Airport metro line report to Modi government
As per DMRC report there would be 25 metro stations out of which 8 would be in Greater Noida Authority purview while rest 17 would fall into the ambit of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.
In a bid to provide metro connectivity to the air passengers commuting from the Jewar International Airport in Noida, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted its report to Modi government. The report informs that the metro rail line will have 25 metro stations and the proposed airport metro line would become operational by 2025. The reports talk about the third metro line that would cost an additional Rs 1200 crore in the Noida-Greater Noida metro line project.
Elaborating on the development Aditya Ghildiyal, President, Greater Noida Industries Association told Zee Business online, "The Delhi Metro has submitted DPR for the first two lines and the third line propose in this airport line would cost an additional Rs 1200 crore on the government exchequers." He said that there would be 25 metro stations out of which 8 would be falling under the Greater Noida Authority purview while rest 17 would fall into the administrative ambit of the Yamuna Expressway Authority.

Hailing the Jewar Airport metro line move Vipin Malhan, President, Noida Entrepreneurs Association said, "The Jewar Airport metro line would fuel industrial investment in the ITES and service sector as it prefers to proper connectivity that can save time and provide quick access to the airport and their office. This metro line will do the same." he said that the airport would provide Noida to attract investors who are planning to invest in Gurugram as Noida lacked proper metro and airport connectivity.
As per the Detailed Project Report (DPR) submitted by the DMRC, the proposed Jewar metro line is expected to become operational by 2015 and proper work on the line would begin in 2020. The metro line will have 2.7 km metro track inside the Jewar Airport campus.
