7th Pay Commission Latest News: Selected candidates send posting preference fast for these India Post jobs 7th Pay Commission Latest News: Attention all those candidates who have been selected for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant from the CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) examination 2017 conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The Office of Chief Post Master General, Tamil Nadu Circle is inviting order of preference for the allotment of respective division/Units before 30 April 2020.

The category wise vacancy details for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant for the year 2027-18 can be found in annexure 1 available on the website.
The order of preference received after 30 April will be considered at the discretion of the Department of Post.
Criteria to be followed for allocation of candidates:
-- Cadre/Division will be located on the basis of merit, order of preference, vacancy available at his/her turn
-- Person with disability will be given allocation first, irrespective of rank
