West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has invited applications for the post of Sub-Inspector of Police (Unarmed Branch) and Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Branch) in West Bengal Police with the Pay Scale Rs 7,100 –37,600/-(i.e. Pay Band-3) + Grade Pay Rs 3,900/-plus other admissible allowances.

Interested and eligible Male candidates can apply through both the online and offline mode for the West Bengal Police SI Posts.
WBP Sub Inspector applications were available till 09 September 2019. However, the last date of depositing WB Police Application and/or Processing Fees only in respect of on-line applicants using United Bank of India challan, is 12 September 2019.
7th Pay Commission Pay Scale:
West Bengal Police Recruitment Board has notified a Sub-Inspector of Police (Un-armed Branch) and Sub-Inspector of Police (Armed Branch) vacancy and selected candidates will be paid according to 7th Pay Commission, Rs. 7,100 –37,600/-(i.e. Pay Band-3) + Grade Pay Rs. 3,900/-plus other admissible allowances.
Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum educational requirement for WB Police Sub Inspector Recruitment is Graduation in any field in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent. Also, the candidate must be able to speak, read and write in Bengali.
Age Limit:
The age of the candidates should be between 20 to 27 years.

Selection Procedure:
The selection will be done on the basis of Preliminary Examination which will act as screening examination followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Combined Competitive Examination and Personality Test.

All categories except Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (of West Bengal only) will have to pay Rs 270 as application Fee and processing fees. However, SC&ST (West Bengal only) have to pay Rs. 20/- for Processing Fee
