CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021: Objective criterion: The CBSE has informed that the results of class 10 board exams will be prepared on the basis of an objective criterion to be developed by the board. Source: PTI

As per a report by dnaindia.com, a distinct pattern was followed last year when the exams for certain papers were held because of the pandemic. For the students who appeared for three or more papers were given marks based on the average of the highest marks obtained in any three subjects they have appeared for. While those students who appeared for only two exams, the average of the two highest-scoring exams were considered while marking them for the paper which could not be held. Source: PTI

The result for these students, especially those who appeared for less than two papers, was calculated based on performance in internal or practical or project-based assessment. Source: PTI

The CBSE has also informed the class 10 board exam candidates that any candidate who is not satisfied with the marks allocated to him/her on this basis will be given an opportunity to sit in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams. Source: PTI
