Telangana Schools and Colleges Latest News: In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country and complete lockdown was imposed all over the country to control the pandemic. The schools and other educational institutions were closed down and the students shifted to the online mode of education. One year has passed since then, however, the news of schools closing down now seem to be flashbacks from a year ago.

The Telangana government has decided to shut down all educational institutions from today, March 24, 2021 due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state as per an ANI report. Several state governments decided to reopen schools and to resume physical classes. The CBSE has announced the date sheets for the class 10 class 12 board exams but the recent surge in the number coronavirus cases is compelling several state governments to shut down the schools and other educational institutions to ensure the safety of the students.

Telangana Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy announced the closure of the educational institutions (government and private) except medical colleges because of the rapid rise in the number of COVID-19 cases. She said, "Corona cases are also coming up in educational institutions in our state. The state government believes that there is a danger due to teaching and non-teaching activities in the educational institutions."

The Education Minister has also stated that the government has received requests from parents to temporarily close the educational institutions as they too are also concerned about the rising number of coronavirus cases. To avoid the spread of the coronavirus, the government has decided to close all educational institutions in the state from today, March 24, 2021.

Uttar Pradesh has also decided to close down schools to control the COVID-19 disease from today till March 31, 2021.

The Telangana Education Minister has informed that the online classes for the students will continue.
