NEET UG 2021 counselling starts from January 19: Know counselling process, important dates, seat matrix and more

NEET UG 2021 Counselling Latest News: The counselling for NEET UG 2021 is set to commence from tomorrow, January 19, 2022. The candidates can check the counselling schedule by logging in to the official MCC website at mcc.nic.in.

NEET UG 2021: Counselling process

The candidates must note that they will have to register online for the all India quota (AIQ) seats at mcc.nic.in. The applicants will be required to enter their roll numbers, registration numbers, names, mother’s name, and dates of birth as printed on their NEET 2021 scorecard while registering online for admission to undergraduate medical seats.

Following registration, the candidates will have to make their payment for counselling. Then the candidates will have to fill the choice and give preferences of the college or institute they desire to get admission to.

After this, MCC will release the NEET 2021 seat allotment list for the candidates to check which college is allotted to them.

Finally, the NEET UG 2021 candidates will have to report to the allotted college with their NEET allotment letter 2021 to complete the admission formalities.

NEET UG 2021 counselling: Round 1

The NEET 2021 UG candidates must note for the round 1, the registration process will take place from January 19, 2022 to January 24, 2022 till 12 PM. The payment facility will be available till 3 PM on the last date.

The choice of filling of seats for the first round will start from January 20, 2022 and will continue till January 24, 2022 till 11.55 PM. The verification of the internal candidates by the institutes will take place from January 25, 2022 to January 26, 2022 which will be followed by the process of seat allotment from January 27, 2022 to January 28, 2022.

The result will be declared on January 29, 2022 and the reporting will start from January 30, 2022 and will continue till February 4, 2022.

NEET UG 2021 counselling: Round 2

The NEET 2021 UG candidates must note for the round 2, the registration process will take place from February 9, 2022 to February 14, 2022 till 12 PM. The payment facility will be available till 3 PM on the last date.

The results after the second-round counselling will be released on February 19, 2022. The reporting will start from February 20, 2022 and will continue till February 25, 2022.

NEET UG 2021 counselling: Mop-up Round

The registration process for Mop-up round for All India Quota/ Deemed and central university seats/ PG DNB seats will start from March 2, 2022 and will continue till March 7, 2022. The payment facility will be available till 3 PM on March 7, 2022. The processing of seat allocation will be on March 10 and 11, 2022 and the results will be out on March 12, 2022

The NEET UG 2021 candidates must know that the reservation policy for 15 per cent AIQ seats (UG) and 50 per cent AIQ seats (PG) for the academic year 2021-22 is under:

1. S.C. - 15 per cent

2. S.T. - 7.5 per cent

3. PwD- Horizontal Reservation as per NMC norms - 5 per cent

4. O.B.C. - (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list - 27 per cent
