NEET UG 2021 Counselling: The choice of filling of seats for the NEET UG 2021 candidates has started from today, January 20, 2022. The NEET UG 2021 candidates must fill in their preferred colleges online by logging in to the official website of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in.

Important dates
The NEET UG 2021 counselling process has started from January 19, 2022 and will continue till January 24, 2022 till 12 PM. The payment facility will be available till 3 PM on the last date.
The last date for the choice of filling seats is also January 24, 2022 till 11.55 PM.
The verification of the internal candidates by the institutes will take place from January 25, 2022 to January 26, 2022 which will be followed by the process of seat allotment from January 27, 2022 to January 28, 2022.
The result will be declared on January 29, 2022 and the reporting will start from January 30, 2022 and will continue till February 4, 2022.
Counselling process
The NEET-UG 2021 candidates must note that there are certain steps involved in the counselling process. They are as follows:
Step 1: Registration - The candidates must note that they will have to register online for the all India quota (AIQ) seats at mcc.nic.in. The applicants will be required to enter their roll numbers, registration numbers, names, mother’s name, and dates of birth as printed on their NEET 2021 scorecard while registering online for admission to undergraduate medical seats.
Step 2: Payment and locking of seats - Following registration, the candidates will have to make their payment for counselling. Then the candidates will have to fill the choice and give preferences of the college or institute they desire to get admission to.
Step 3: Allotment of colleges - After this, MCC will release the NEET 2021 seat allotment list for the candidates to check which college is allotted to them.
Step 4: Reporting at college - Finally, the NEET UG 2021 candidates will have to report to the allotted college with their NEET allotment letter 2021 to complete the admission formalities.
Seat matrix
The NEET UG 2021 candidates must be aware of the the reservation policy for 15 per cent AIQ seats (UG) and 50 per cent AIQ seats (PG) for the academic year 2021-22 is under:
1. SC - 15 per cent
2. ST - 7.5 per cent
3. PwD- Horizontal Reservation as per NMC norms - 5 per cent
4. O.B.C. - (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central OBC list - 27 per cent
Round 2 counselling
The registration process for round 2 NEET UG 2021 counselling will take place from February 9, 2022 to February 14, 2022 till 12 PM. The payment facility will be available till 3 PM on the last date.
The results after the second-round counselling will be released on February 19, 2022. The reporting will start from February 20, 2022 and will continue till February 25, 2022.
