Almost a year ago when the COVID-19 pandemic first struck in the country, schools and other educational institutions were closed all over India. As situation seemed to be under control, several state governments decided to reopen the schools and colleges in their respective states. The date sheets for the board exams were also announced by various state governments. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also released the date sheets for class 10 class 12 board exams.
However, at this time, the recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country is compelling the state governments to adopt the means of closure of educational institutions like the initial days of the pandemic in the country in order to contain the rapid spread of the COVID-19 disease.
