Due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to provide the option to the students of classes 9 to 12 to choose the mode of exam - offline or online. The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has tweeted regarding the decision. The decision will be applicable to the students appearing for the class 10 and class 12 board exams, as well as for the students appearing for their pre-board exams in classes 9 and 11.

As per a report by dnaindia.com, if students of classes 9 and 11 opt to take the final year exams in the offline mode then they will have to take the exams for home. The students will need to collect the question papers from the respective schools. They will have to solve the question papers and submit the answer sheets back to the school authorities in the prescribed time limit.

It has to be noted that all the government schools will hold the written exams from home while the private schools will have the option to choose between online and offline exams.
The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to close all schools in the state up to class 8 till April 15, 2021. The state government has undertaken this decision in view of the recent rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country and also in the state.
The recent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases across the country is compelling the state governments to adopt the means of closure of educational institutions like the initial days of the pandemic in the country in order to contain the rapid spread of the COVID-19 disease. This is also propelling the authorities to shut down schools and adoption of alternate ways to conduct exams.
The Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Department has revised the MPBSE 2021 exam timetable. Earlier, the Madhya Pradesh class 10 board exam was scheduled to take place from April 30, 2021 to May 15, 2021. Now, it has been decided that the exam will start on April 30, 2021 but will continue till May 19, 2021. On the other hand, the class 12 board exams will take place from May 1, 2021 to 21, 2021. The class 12 board exams were earlier supposed to start on the same day and end on May 18, 2021.
