KVPY Exam 2022: Aptitude Test 2021 postponed; know reasons and other details
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) has postponed KVPY Aptitude Test 2021, which was scheduled to be conducted on January 9, 2022.
KVPY Exam 2022 Postponed: The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) has postponed KVPY Aptitude Test 2021, which was scheduled to be conducted on January 9, 2022.
This step has been taken by the Department of Science and Technology in view of the significant increase in the COVID-19 cases and restrictions and weekend curfews imposed by several states.
The official website of KVPY said, "Due to the emerging unprecedented surge of COVID-19 cases, and the subsequent restrictions and weekend curfew in many states, the KVPY-Aptitude Test 2021 to be held on 9th January 2022, is postponed in the larger interest of the students. Please check KVPY website regularly for further updates."
The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a government-funded nationwide fellowship programme aimed at promoting scientific education and encouraging students to pursue careers in fundamental sciences and research.
Under this fellowship, an eligible candidate for SA/SX/SB - during 1st to 3rd years of - B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math. / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. will get a monthly fellowship of ₹5000 and an annual contingency grant is ₹20000.
Whereas the SA/SX/SB - during M. Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S./M.Math./M.Stat. will get ₹7000 for monthly fellowship and ₹28000 for annual contingency grant.
